Why we love Christy Dawn

Beyond sustainable to regenerative

In their second farm to closet collection, Christy Dawn worked with farmers to regenerate 10 acres of land in India with healthy cotton crops, which in turn sequestered 38 tons of carbon from the atmosphere and regenerated previously depleted soil.

Deadstock fabrics

Using rescued and revitalized fabrics, Christy Dawn ensures these fabrics get a second life and do not end up in landfills.

Limited runs

To minimize waste, smaller batches of dresses are sewn and each one is numbered.

Made in los angeles

By people paid premium wages that includes full health care coverage and paid vacation.

Heirloom quality

Pieces are sewn by artisan dressmakers with quality standards intended to last a lifetime.

Cost Transparency

Dresses are only marked up 3x (compared to 4x-20x for other brands) and every component of the cost is broken down on the the website from fabric, labor, finishing and overhead.

“A dress can only be considered beautiful if the process used to produce it preserves the integrity and beauty of the Earth and her people. When deciding what to wear, we have an obligation to consider how it’s made and the impact of that process.”

“We don’t design with trends in mind, but rather create pieces that serve as staples for decades to come.”
