Carleen

“Denim, quilts, Americana and nostalgia.”

Founded by Kelsy Parkhouse, and named after her grandmother, Carleen has become synonymous with Americana and the repurposed quilt. Using many vintage and deadstock fabrics cut to perfection, the brand continues to launch clothing that is as functional as it is fun to wear.

Why we love Carleen

repurposed textiles

Carleen uses recycled, deadstock and vintage textiles whenever possible. When sourcing new fabrics, they opt always for organic cotton and other low-impact materials.

“From the beginning, our primary inspiration has been the rich history of American quilting, a textile that continues to inform the Carleen aesthetic season after season.”

“We use repurposed textiles as often as possible, because of their patina and beauty, and also because of their more-gentle impact on our planet.”
